BDS Malaysia expresses its appreciation to YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman for his commitment to personally investigate the concerns that have been raised regarding the Network School project in Forest City.
We commend his prompt response to public concerns and his recognition that such matters warrant parliamentary attention. This reflects the important role of elected representatives in ensuring transparency, accountability and public confidence.
Malaysia has long maintained a principled position in support of the Palestinian people and against Israel’s regime of occupation, apartheid and genocide. Any allegations suggesting the possible entry, facilitation or normalisation of Israeli-linked interests in Malaysia deserve careful scrutiny in the national interest.
BDS Malaysia calls upon the relevant ministries and government agencies to provide complete transparency regarding the Network School project, including its investors, partners, participants, recruitment processes, and any links—direct or indirect—to Israeli individuals, entities or institutions. Public confidence can only be maintained through openness and accountability.
We also urge all Members of Parliament, regardless of political affiliation, to support a thorough and transparent examination of this matter. Malaysia’s unwavering solidarity with Palestine must be reflected not only in its words but also in its policies, institutions and steadfast opposition to any attempts at normalisation.
Justice for Palestine requires vigilance at home as well as solidarity abroad.
