We vehemently object to and condemn the proposed visit of United States President Donald Trump to Malaysia.
Malaysia has taken a clear and moral stand against the ongoing genocide and humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinians, the majority
being women and children.
Trump’s record and policies demonstrate a blatant disregard for Palestinian life and a direct complicity in enabling the violence they endure.
Donald Trump is not at all a peacemaker, but an enabler of apartheid and violence. To host such a figure would be a betrayal of Malaysia’s longstanding solidarity with the Palestinian people and a stain on our nation’s diplomatic integrity.
Therefore, welcoming President Trump to Malaysia is not only inappropriate but profoundly offensive.
We call on the Government of Malaysia to cancel this visit. There should be no red carpet, no official welcome, and no platform for a figure whose political legacy is so deeply intertwined with the suffering of the Palestinian people.
We ask all Malaysians who believe in justice and human dignity to join us in rejecting this visit and reaffirming our nation’s unwavering commitment to a free and sovereign Palestine.
We also call on the Malaysian government to immediately review and terminate all economic and diplomatic ties with international companies that are profiting from the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe and acts of genocide in Gaza.
This demand is based on the report by Ms. Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory. She has identified specific corporations that are directly enabling and financially benefiting from the illegal settlement expansion, military operations, and the systematic destruction of Gaza—actions which the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has found
plausible to constitute acts of genocide. Among the scores of companies named as profiting from genocide are Boeing, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Caterpillar, BlackRock and Vanguard.
Malaysia’s clear and moral stand against the ongoing genocide and humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza is critically undermined when the government maintains financial, contractual, or investment relationships with the very entities identified as complicit in the machinery of occupation and violence. Continuing these ties creates an unconscionable contradiction: advocating for peace while potentially
enriching those who fuel the war.
Malaysian public funds or companies should not contribute to the destruction which we condemn on the world stage. Profit must never be prioritised over principle, especially when that profit is stained with the blood of innocent children, women, and men in Gaza.
Therefore, we urgently call upon the Government of Malaysia to:
It is a profound moral test. It is a chance to align our actions with our words and to demonstrate to the world that Malaysian foreign policy is not just rhetorical, but rooted in actionable and consistent justice. We urge the government to take decisive action now.
Do not let our nation’s legacy be tarnished by association with those who profit from genocide. Once again, we say: stand firmly on the right side of history.
To all Malaysian consumers, we urge you to continue your boycott of companies which are complicit in the Gaza genocide such as Chevron- Caltex, Hewlett-Packard, Dell, McDonald’s and others which are on the official BDS list. None of us is too small to help put on the pressure on these genocide-enablers. FREE PALESTINE!
